LK Bennett Stores Set to Shut After Administration as Brand Sold to Gordon Brothers Affiliate

Administrators expect the remaining shops and concessions to shut by spring 2026.

Overview

  • John Noon and Mark Firmin of Alvarez & Marsal were appointed joint administrators on 27 January 2026.
  • LKB IP Holdings, LLC, an entity affiliated with Gordon Brothers, purchased the LK Bennett brand and related intellectual property immediately after the appointment.
  • The physical estate was excluded from the sale and will trade for up to three months under the administrators before expected closure around April 2026.
  • The retailer lists nine standalone shops and 13 concessions across the UK and Ireland, including spaces within John Lewis, Fenwick, Bentalls, Jarrolds, Hoopers, De Gruchy, and Arnotts & Brown Thomas.
  • Roughly 89 store and concession roles are reported to be at risk, and online sales via the LK Bennett website continue for the foreseeable future.
