Little Red Baby Elephant Returns to View on Animal Kingdom Tour

This is a tour-only display, not a change to Kilimanjaro Safaris.

Overview

  • Photos shared Sunday on X by user Nick showed the baby elephant figure back on display, and park news sites confirmed the limited return on Monday.
  • The animatronic is positioned at the back of the second elephant yard in a backstage area that guests visit during the Caring for Giants tour.
  • Access requires booking the 60-minute Caring for Giants experience, which costs $39 plus tax with times at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m., and park admission is required.
  • Little Red was part of Kilimanjaro Safaris’ former anti-poaching storyline and was retired when Disney removed that plot in 2012.
  • After years in cast-only areas, including a 2013 spot behind Pride Rock, the figure is now on loan for the tour rather than restored to the ride.
