  • Klamath Union junior Lisette Watah was voted The Oregonian/OregonLive’s Oregon High School Girls Basketball Player of the Week after scoring 32 points with nine rebounds in a 59–46 win over Hidden Valley.
  • Watah captured 69.1% of more than 1,400 votes, ahead of Corbett’s Kai DeBruin at 25.6%, with West Albany’s Payton Starwalt at 1.5% and Nelson’s Aubrey Pentecost at 0.9%.
  • The Oregonian invited weekly reader nominations for future ballots via danbrood91@gmail.com.
  • Separately, The News Tribune released South Sound nominees for contests Jan. 19–24 and opened reader voting through noon Wednesday.
