Overview
- Lincoln Center Theater announced its 2026–27 lineup on Tuesday, June 23, confirming Broadway revivals of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music and Aaron Sorkin’s A Few Good Men.
- A Few Good Men will play the Vivian Beaumont this fall, with performances beginning Oct. 8 and an Oct. 29 opening, directed by Michael Arden and starring Bradley Whitford and Tom Blyth.
- The Sound of Music revival, directed by LCT artistic director Lear deBessonet and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli, begins previews March 23, 2027 and opens April 15, 2027 with Jasmine Amy Rogers as Maria.
- The season also schedules Off‑Broadway projects and initiatives at LCT’s Newhouse and Claire Tow spaces, including The Whoopi Monologues, August Wilson’s Seven Guitars, world premieres such as Born in the Dirt, and a new Composer Series featuring Sara Bareilles, Lin‑Manuel Miranda, and Benj Pasek & Justin Paul.
- The package frames deBessonet’s second season after the Tony-winning Ragtime run and signals an institutional strategy to pair star draws with short-run revivals and new-play development to attract broader audiences and spur theatrical conversation.
