Overview
- Sedapal carried out up-to-12-hour suspensions on Feb. 18 across selected areas of Lima, including Comas and San Miguel, alongside La Molina, Santa Anita, Ate, San Luis/San Borja, Surco, Chorrillos, San Juan de Lurigancho and Villa María del Triunfo, following an unplanned Feb. 17 leak-related outage in San Juan de Lurigancho.
- For Feb. 19, Sedapal scheduled additional cuts in San Miguel (10:00–22:00, empalme in Sector 46), Lima Cercado’s Santa Beatriz (10:00–22:00, reservoir cleaning in Sector 35) and Comas (12:00–20:00, reservoir cleaning in Sector 347).
- For Feb. 20, Sedapal announced further suspensions in San Martín de Porres (12:00–20:00, reservoir cleaning in Sector 213, A.H. 03 de Mayo) and San Miguel (10:00–22:00, works on purge chambers and fire hydrants in Sector 45).
- Mexico City’s water authority reported no cuts in Iztapalapa or Iztacalco, noting Iztapalapa service was restored on Feb. 14, while localized maintenance affected Tacubaya on Feb. 17 and pump replacement in Nueva Santa Anita and Viaducto reduced pressure through Feb. 18, with free water trucks available on request.
- In Tuxtla Gutiérrez, SMAPA said 35 colonias were without service on Feb. 18 due to a pumping unit failure, and it did not provide a timeline for full restoration.
