Lima Faces Planned Water Cuts Through March 27 as Sedapal Carries Out Maintenance

Utility work this week is meant to keep water flowing more reliably.

Overview

  • Sedapal's multi-day maintenance program, which is in force Wednesday, is cutting water in parts of Chaclacayo, Ate, San Juan de Lurigancho, Lurigancho, Comas and La Molina on fixed schedules.
  • Some sectors face long shutdowns of up to 15 hours, including San Juan de Lurigancho’s sector 406 with service set to return near midnight.
  • The utility is cleaning reservoirs and linking or repairing pipes to prevent failures and improve water quality across the network.
  • Sedapal is sending tanker trucks to the hardest hit areas and is posting sector-by-sector timetables, with its Aquafono at 01-317-8000 for delays beyond the posted window.
  • More cuts are slated for Thursday and Friday in districts such as Cieneguilla, SJL, Ate, Lurigancho, La Molina, Los Olivos and Miraflores, while separate power outages by Pluz Energía Perú on Wednesday may compound local disruptions.
