Overview
- Lidl will roll out the new points system in June, automatically crediting one point for every euro spent both in stores and in the Lidl online shop.
- Collected points will remain valid for two years, partial euros will be rounded in customers' favor, and every new user receives a 50‑point starter credit.
- A new in‑app Prämienshop will list more than 200 offers where points can be redeemed for discounts, products, vouchers or partner subscriptions such as Disney+ and Dyn.
- Existing app features like exclusive coupons and personalized price actions will continue to operate but Lidl has not yet explained how remaining balances or active rewards from the old Rabattsammler system will be converted.
- The change follows Lidl pilots in other countries and a companywide non‑food assortment restructure and comes while a 2025 consumer‑protection lawsuit over the Lidl app is pending revision to the Bundesgerichtshof, a development consumer groups and users are watching closely.
