LFP Announces First Two Ligue 1 Matchdays with Marseille to Open on Ligue 1+

The published program centralizes every match on the league’s streaming service and places marquee fixtures in prime-time closing slots to shape early-season storylines.

Overview

  • The Ligue de Football Professionnel has released TV and match programming for the opening two matchdays, naming Olympique de Marseille as the season opener against RC Strasbourg at the Stade Vélodrome.
  • The first matchday will conclude with Paris Saint-Germain versus Stade Rennais and the second matchday will close with AS Monaco hosting Marseille, both scheduled in prime-time closing slots.
  • All nine fixtures on each matchday will be shown on the Ligue 1+ platform and the traditional Saturday-night multiplex has been restored to the schedule.
  • Local reporting notes this opener is Marseille’s first season start since 2018–19 and will serve as the public’s first look at the club after summer restructuring under Stéphane Richard, Grégory Lorenzi and Bruno Genesio.
  • The published programming covers only the first two rounds and could be adjusted later because of domestic cups, European commitments or other calendar changes, while fans and broadcasters will need Ligue 1+ access to watch the early-season slate.
