Leverkusen Coach Praises Grimaldo but Offers No Transfer Guarantee

Martinez, in a BILD interview on Monday, praised Alejandro Grimaldo and said he is looking forward to working with him at Leverkusen.
The new coach stopped short of promising Grimaldo will stay and warned that transfer markets can change quickly.
Grimaldo, 30, posted double-digit goal and assist contributions since joining in 2023 and remains one of Leverkusen’s key players.
His contract runs until next summer and he is currently with Spain at the World Cup, which limits immediate club negotiations.
Reports link Grimaldo to Atlético Madrid and other suitors but no formal offers have been confirmed and any summer sale would require a transfer fee.
