Let It Die to End Online Service Sept. 1, Relaunches as Paid Offline Edition This Fall

The survival action game will persist as a premium offline release that converts online features for solo play.

Overview

  • Publisher GungHo and developer Supertrick confirmed servers shut down on September 1, 2026 with an Offline Edition arriving in the fall.
  • Existing players can migrate save data to the Offline Edition, including PS4 to PS5 via PlayStation ID, though PlayStation↔Steam transfers are not supported.
  • Monetization is overhauled as Death Metals are replaced by in‑game Kill Coins and various purchase-based systems are removed or reworked.
  • Asynchronous PvP in Tokyo Death Metro will switch to CPU-controlled encounters, and seasonal content such as Battle Rush will be discontinued.
  • Offline access will be a paid product, with returning players enabled via additional DLC on PlayStation Store and new players able to buy the game on PlayStation Store or Steam, with pricing still unannounced.
