Overview
- Lenovo announced two Legion Y900 tablets for the Chinese market in late May: an 11.1-inch model and a 13-inch model, and it also launched the Legion Y70 gaming smartphone in China.
- Both Y900 tablets use 3840×2560, 144Hz displays and offer up to 16GB of RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, with the 11.1-inch using a MediaTek Dimensity 9500S and the 13-inch using a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.
- The larger tablets include detachable keyboard support and very large batteries—11,000 mAh for the 11.1-inch and 12,700 mAh for the 13-inch—positioning them as mixed-use devices for gaming, streaming, and productivity.
- Chinese prices convert to roughly $450 for the 11.1-inch and $560 for the 13-inch, which places them well below Lenovo’s recently US-launched 8.8-inch Legion Tab that uses the higher-end Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
- Lenovo has not confirmed a global release for the Y900 tablets or Y70 phone, and past Lenovo practice suggests China-first launches can take multiple generations before wider availability.
