Leapmotor Launches B03X in Europe From €24,900

A Stellantis tie-up lets Leapmotor sell a value-priced, LFP‑battery compact crossover in Europe as it prepares CKD assembly and regional launches in Southeast Asia.

Overview

  • Leapmotor opened European order books after a Marbella media drive and is selling the B03X through a joint venture with Stellantis with a starting price of €24,900.
  • The international B03X offers two LFP battery sizes (39.8 kWh for about 292 km WLTP and 53.0 kWh for about 382 km WLTP), 133 kW DC charging and a claimed 30–80% ‘2.5C’ charge time of around 16 minutes.
  • Leapmotor has scheduled further roll-outs with a Singapore launch set for the Singapore Motorshow in January 2027 and plans to seek CKD assembly at Stellantis’ Gurun, Kedah plant aiming for H1 2027 subject to negotiations and compliance.
  • Early European and UK first drives praised the cabin space, comfort and equipment but reported excessive body roll, weak chassis control, traction loss and buggy voice/software behaviour that Leapmotor must fix to win buyers.
  • Company executives say regional demand will shape future models, with Leapmotor exploring hybrids, extended-range layouts and even a possible pick‑up aimed at markets such as Brazil and Australia rather than Europe, while strong China sales give the car export momentum.
