Leaked Specs Put Vivo X Fold 6 On Track for Late‑June China Launch

A reported switch to MediaTek plus a roughly 7,000mAh battery would change Vivo’s performance and endurance tradeoffs if the leaks prove accurate.

Overview

  • Multiple outlets on Monday cited Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station saying Vivo plans to unveil the X Fold 6 in China by the end of June, but Vivo has not confirmed a date.
  • Leaks consistently name MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9500 as the chipset, a notable departure from the Snapdragon platform used in last year’s X Fold 5.
  • The device is reported to pack an unusually large battery of about 7,000mAh, which would materially extend runtime for a book-style foldable compared with typical 5,000–6,000mAh packs.
  • Tip data also points to high-end imaging and displays: a 200MP primary rear camera with 50MP ultra-wide and 50MP periscope options, dual 20MP selfie cameras, and ~8.0‑inch inner and ~6.5‑inch outer AMOLED panels at 120Hz.
  • Prototype cues mention Vivo’s circular rear camera module, more rounded corners and white test units, but charging speeds, software and many finer specs remain unconfirmed pending an official Vivo announcement.
