Leak Reveals One UI 9 Home Up Overhaul With Dock Editor and Multi‑Finger Gestures

Delivered through Good Lock’s Home Up module, the leak signals Samsung will keep customization modular, expanding choices for power users ahead of new Galaxy flagships.

Overview

  • An early One UI 9 build leaked by GalaxyTechie on X and reported by multiple outlets shows a major Home Up update that targets homescreen customization.
  • The dock editor will let users set a separate app count for the favorites tray and apply custom backgrounds with color, blur, images, corner radius, padding and preset themes.
  • A new multi-finger gesture system supports two- to five-finger inputs and maps swipes, pinches, taps and long presses to actions such as screenshots, app launches, search, and volume or brightness control.
  • The features are exposed through the Good Lock Home Up module rather than the base launcher, the build is circulating in the One UI 9 beta on Galaxy S26 devices, and Samsung has not officially confirmed the changes.
  • The update continues Samsung’s long-running strategy of offering modular, power-user options beyond the stock UI, which could let owners create bespoke workflows and should appear on upcoming Galaxy flagships before a wider rollout.
