Leagues Cup Sets Aug. 4–Sept. 6 Slate, Adds First-Ever Phase One Games in Mexico

Inter Miami draws Atlético San Luis, Monterrey and León as the event sticks with penalties to settle ties.

  • The 2026 tournament features 36 clubs (18 MLS, 18 Liga MX) with 54 phase-one MLS-vs.-Liga MX games and three matches per team.
  • Four phase-one fixtures will be staged in Mexico: Toluca hosts two, Tigres one and Club América one, with conflicting reports on América’s stadium (ESPN cites Estadio Banorte, AFP lists Estadio Azteca).
  • Competition dates are confirmed for Aug. 4 through the Sept. 6 final, which will determine three 2027 CONCACAF Champions Cup berths, including a round-of-16 spot for the champion.
