LDV Launches eDeliver 5 in Australia From $47,990 Drive-Away
LDV says it fast-tracked the model to respond to rising diesel costs caused by geopolitical tensions.
Overview
- Order books opened on Tuesday and an expressions-of-interest portal is live after LDV air-freighted the first eDeliver 5 to Australia for final validation, with first customer deliveries expected from July 2026.
- A limited ABN-holder launch price puts the short-wheelbase low-roof at $47,990 drive-away until July 31, 2026, while long-wheelbase low- and high-roof ABN prices are $52,990 and $54,990 respectively and private-buyer drive-away prices are higher.
- All three variants share a front-mounted 120kW/240Nm motor and a 64kWh battery, with WLTP ranges of 335km (SWB), 321km (LWB low roof) and 301km (LWB high roof), 70kW DC fast-charging that returns 20–80% in about 36 minutes, and vehicle-to-load output up to 6.6kW.
- Cargo volume runs from 6.6 to 8.7 cubic metres and payload is 1,200kg for SWB and 1,265kg for LWB variants, and LDV backs the van with a five-year/160,000km vehicle warranty plus an eight-year/250,000km battery warranty.
- LDV positions the eDeliver 5 as an affordable mid-size electric van that undercuts rivals on launch price, targets small businesses and fleets facing high diesel costs, and could tighten supply and pricing competition as initial allocations are limited.
