Lakshman Singh Takes Charge as K-RIDE’s Full-Time MD, Vows to Speed Up Bengaluru Suburban Rail

Singh formally assumed charge on December 1 after outgoing managing director Govinda Reddy handed over responsibilities.
He told staff he would accelerate progress on the Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project and urged an engineer-led, duty-focused approach.
On Tuesday morning he inspected the Chikkabanavara–Yeshwanthpur stretch of Corridor-2 (Mallige Line) to review work on the project.
Officials highlighted his 30-plus years in Indian Railways and a record of delivering complex infrastructure.
K-RIDE, a joint venture of Karnataka and the Ministry of Railways, oversees implementation of the suburban rail network.
