Lactalis Recalls 200 g Gorgonzola Sold at Aldi, Kaufland and Netto After Listeria Detected

Consumers are urged not to eat the specified batches as routine testing found Listeria monocytogenes in a sample.

  • The recall covers 200 g packs under K-Favourites (Kaufland), Mondo Italiano (Netto) and Cucina (Aldi Nord & Aldi Süd) with best-before date 21.02.2026 and identity code IT 03 1 CE.
  • Distribution was through major discounters with regional exceptions noted, including no Kaufland sales in Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria and limited Aldi Nord locations in Niedersachsen.
  • The affected products have been on the market since 09.01.2026, and sales were immediately halted once the contamination was identified.
  • Customers should not consume the cheese and may return it for a full refund without a receipt or call the Lactalis hotline at +49 6543 503 677 (weekdays 8:00–20:00, weekends 9:00–20:00).
  • Authorities warn that listeriosis can cause flu-like symptoms, gastrointestinal illness and severe complications in pregnant people, infants, older adults and those with weakened immune systems, with incubation up to several weeks.
