Overview
- A normally fit black Labrador named Tokyo collapsed near the summit of Ben Nevis and was carried down on a stretcher by volunteers from the Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team after the owner called for help.
- Rescuers delivered Tokyo to Crown Vets in Fort William where vets, after consulting a poison-control centre, judged her symptoms consistent with cannabis neurotoxicity.
- Tokyo received supportive care including IV fluids and activated charcoal and made a full recovery by the following day.
