LA28 Reveals 'Superbloom' Look for 2028 Los Angeles Games

The early release gives partners extra time to adopt the system.

Overview

  • LA28 unveiled the official visual identity Monday, introducing a floral "Superbloom" theme for the Olympics and Paralympics.
  • The system centers on 13 graphic blooms and a palette drawn from Los Angeles’ Bird of Paradise, grouped into Poppy, Scarlet Flax, Bluebell and Sagebrush.
  • Typography takes cues from LA street signage and hand-painted storefronts, and a grid reduces visual density near fields of play to help athletes stay focused.
  • The look will appear on venues, signage, staff uniforms, credentials, digital platforms and broadcasts, with public displays beginning at Intuit Dome during a Clippers game.
  • Developed with design studio Koto, the identity was released more than two years ahead of the Opening Ceremony to give venues, sponsors and broadcasters time to integrate it.
