LA28 Opens First Olympic Ticket Sales for Locals on Thursday

Access is limited to registered buyers with assigned slots, signaling brisk demand for top sessions.

Overview

  • The first locals presale, which opens Thursday, runs April 2–6 for eligible Southern California and Oklahoma ZIP codes, followed by a general public drop April 9–19.
  • Only people who registered and were assigned a purchase time can buy in this drop, with a selection email sent 48 hours before the window and an access link arriving 24 hours before it opens.
  • Buyers get 48 hours to shop once their window starts, a 30‑minute timer begins when the first ticket is added to the cart, seats are sold by price category with exact locations assigned closer to the Games, and tickets are digital with an optional printed keepsake.
  • Prices start at $28, with nearly half of tickets under $200, more than 75% under $400, and about 5% over $1,000, and purchase limits cap most events at 12 tickets per buyer with separate caps of four for each ceremony and 12 for soccer that together can total up to 32.
  • For Oklahoma City events, canoe slalom runs July 14–22, 2028 at the OKC Whitewater Center with 9 a.m. sessions, and softball runs July 23–29, 2028 at the OKC Softball Park with most games at 9 a.m., 4 p.m., and 8 p.m., and those sessions are expected to go quickly.
