Kynseed to Launch on Switch, PlayStation and Xbox on August 4

Console editions bundle more than 10 major PC updates into a budget-priced release that brings the game’s generational life‑sim systems to a wider audience.

Overview

  • PixelCount announced on Tuesday that Kynseed will arrive on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on August 4, 2026.
  • Pre-orders are expected to go live immediately and the console release is priced around £19.99 / $24.99 depending on region.
  • Console builds will include all major updates released on PC so far, notably the new Tavern update that lets players run a pub, hire staff and manage stock.
  • Kynseed’s core hook is generational play where control passes to a character’s children after death, and the game mixes farming, crafting, shopkeeping, blacksmithing, potion brewing, combat and relationship systems.
  • Developed by PixelCount Studios, a team that includes former Fable developers, Kynseed has thousands of Very Positive Steam reviews and the console launch is likely to broaden its audience by offering a complete, polished package.
