Overview
- KPMG announced Monday that the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship will pay a record $13 million with a $1.95 million winner’s share, the largest purse in women’s golf history.
- Organizers are rolling out KPMG Performance Insights features that include automatically generated post-round player reels with shot-level analysis and a live outcome prediction engine for use in broadcasts and for competitors.
- Broadcasters will use KPMG CHAMPCAST visual tech such as 3D imagery, radar shot trails, green views and individual shot video highlights while several caddies will be mic'd for on-course audio.
- The four-day event at Hazeltine fields 156 players including world No. 1 Nelly Korda, who is aiming for a third straight major, and will receive nearly 100 hours of live and streaming coverage across NBC, Golf Channel and Peacock.
- The purse and tech upgrades build on steady prize growth across women's majors and are intended to drive sponsor demand, bigger TV audiences and more measurable returns for partners while men’s majors still pay more.
