Korean Air Sets March 6 Opening for $45 Million, Two-Level Flagship Lounge at LAX

A two-level space introduces an on-site kitchen with made-to-order dining, signaling a sharper premium focus for SkyTeam flyers at TBIT.

Overview

  • The renovated lounge in LAX’s Tom Bradley International Terminal spans 1,675 square meters (about 18,000 square feet) across the fifth and sixth floors after a 22‑month overhaul.
  • Designed by LTW Designworks, the project is roughly 25% larger than the previous facility and is now Korean Air’s largest directly operated overseas lounge.
  • A full on-site kitchen replaces the catered model, with à la carte service for First Class upstairs and live open‑kitchen stations for Prestige and Miler guests downstairs.
  • Access extends to Korean Air First and Prestige Class passengers, eligible SkyPass elites, SkyTeam first and business class travelers on international flights, and SkyTeam Elite Plus members; premium economy alone does not qualify.
  • Amenities include shower suites on both levels with Aesop (First) and Byredo (Prestige/Miler) products, quiet rooms, family seating, a balcony terrace, and high-end First Class tableware from Baccarat and Christofle, with a JFK lounge refresh slated for later this year.
