Korean Air Opens Largest Overseas Lounge at LAX

The two-level space signals Korean Air's push to elevate premium service ahead of its Asiana integration.

Overview

  • The flagship lounge opened March 6 in LAX’s Tom Bradley International Terminal and spans about 1,675 square meters (18,000 square feet) over two floors.
  • The upper-level First Class Lounge offers two private suites, an à la carte fine-dining service and a full-service bar.
  • The lower-level Miler Club and Prestige Class areas feature live open-kitchen stations, QR-code ordering for Miler Club guests, business and family zones, premium showers and a balcony overlooking the terminal.
  • LTW Designworks led a design that emphasizes modern Korean luxury with floor-to-ceiling windows, warm wood and stone, plus curated pieces such as Buncheong ceramics, brushstroke paintings and moon jars.
  • Korean Air invested roughly KRW 65 billion (about $45 million), staffed the lounge with around 125 employees, set access for eligible Korean Air and SkyTeam premium customers, and plans to unveil a renovated JFK lounge later in 2026.
