- Lotte Kopecky took the red jersey, the marker for the overall leader, on Stage 4 by winning the sprint and collecting 10 bonus seconds.
- She beat SD Worx–Protime teammate Anna van der Breggen with Letizia Paternoster third, while Franziska Koch placed fifth in the lead group.
- The overall standings now show Kopecky six seconds ahead of Koch, with Cédrine Kerbaol third at 12 seconds and Liane Lippert eighth at 26 seconds.
- Koch had moved into the lead on Stage 2 and still held it by two seconds after Stage 3, as early time gaps stayed small and Stage 1 winner Noemi Rüegg withdrew.
