Konami Unveils Wai Wai World Craft Game-Creation Platform

The free-to-play, cross-platform service offers official Konami characters, an auto-generator, a creator economy, low-barrier creation tools to drive user-made games.

Overview

  • Konami published an extended concept trailer and updated its official site on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 3–4, 2026, confirming Wai Wai World Craft is planned for PC via Steam, iOS and Android with no release date announced.
  • The service lets creators pick an official Konami game as a base, change rules and stages, and use the 'Magic Pod' to auto-generate a playable game in about three minutes.
  • Players will be able to control a roster of licensed Konami characters such as Primon, Sting, Bill Rizer, Simon Belmont and Amaterasu and customize those actors with equippable accessories.
  • Konami outlined a creator-support economy where players send 'Fave Birds' to creators, creators earn Silver Points exchangeable for items and 'Super Items' can be used to aid gameplay.
  • Journalists have largely framed the project as a Roblox-like user-generated-content platform and raised doubts about whether a new, more limited UGC service can win users from established incumbents or attract players beyond nostalgic Konami fans.
