Konami Announces Yu‑Gi‑Oh! TAG FORCE GX for Switch 2, Switch and PC

The remake brings GX-era Tag Force 3 content to the Americas for the first time, expands the card pool to more than 3,800, adds online Tag and 1v1 duels, ties eShop pre-orders to Master Duel codes, offers physical trading-card bonuses.

Overview

  • Konami formally announced Yu‑Gi‑Oh! TAG FORCE GX as a modern remake of TAG FORCE 3 that will release on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on February 16, 2027 with pre-orders open at $49.99.
  • The release marks the first official appearance of GX-era TAG FORCE 3 content in North and Latin America, bringing material that was previously unreleased in the region into the game.
  • The remake rebuilds Classic Dueling with a library of more than 3,800 cards and updates over 100 character visuals, while retaining RPG story elements such as student-life scenes, mini-games and a Gallery Mode.
  • Online multiplayer will support both Tag duels and 1v1 matches through Casual Duel and Room Match options so players can compete together or head-to-head over the internet.
  • Konami is selling both digital and physical editions with platform-specific incentives: Nintendo eShop pre-orders include Master Duel codes that unlock specific digital cards, Steam pre-orders include wallpapers and icons, and retail copies include three trading cards.
