Konami Adds Panic Bomber W to Super Bomberman Collection

Localization of the Japan-only 1995 puzzle game will arrive as a no-cost update on August 20 for PS5 and Nintendo players.

Overview

  • Konami announced the free update on Monday, July 13, saying Panic Bomber W will be added to Super Bomberman Collection on August 20.
  • Owners of the collection on supported platforms including PS5 and Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 will receive the new game at no extra charge.
  • Panic Bomber W is a 1995 Super Famicom puzzle spin-off from Hudson Soft that was historically Japan-only with a limited Wii U Virtual Console appearance in 2017.
  • Konami describes the game as a competitive puzzle title where players trigger chain reactions and use “Big Bombs” when a meter fills to attack opponents.
  • The addition brings the compilation from seven to eight games and reinforces Konami’s effort to preserve and make region-locked Bomberman entries accessible with modern features like save/load, rewind, Boss Rush, and an art and music gallery.
