Koei Tecmo Rolls Out Atelier Yumia Switch 2 Edition and Unveils New Sequel

  • Koei Tecmo released the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of Atelier Yumia as a paid upgrade on June 9, 2026 and the upgrade is available now.
  • The Switch 2 Edition adds higher resolution visuals, an apparently higher frame rate, and GameShare support for local co‑play.
  • Owners of the original Nintendo Switch version can transfer their save files and purchased DLC into the Switch 2 Edition as part of the paid upgrade.
  • The studio also announced Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories, a direct follow‑up that centers on an amnesiac alchemist named Karia and is slated for early 2027 on Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
  • The updates underscore the series’ core focus on alchemy, item synthesis, exploration, field crafting and base building and make it easier for current players to move to the next‑gen version while Koei Tecmo prepares its next main entry.
