Overview
- The new plug-in hybrid pairs a 1.5 TSI (130 kW) petrol engine with an 85 kW electric motor and a 25.7 kWh battery to deliver 200 kW and 400 Nm.
- It posts 0–100 km/h in 7.1 seconds, reaches 225 km/h, and increases towing capacity to up to 2,000 kg.
- Battery and charging carry over from the existing PHEV: 25.7 kWh, AC up to 11 kW, DC up to 50 kW, and 10–80% in about 26 minutes.
- Hardware upgrades for the 200 kW Hatch include larger rear ventilated discs (310×22 mm) and improved front brake cooling via an under-bumper airflow channel.
- The 200 kW setup is reserved for Superb Hatch Sportline and Laurin & Klement trims, while the 150 kW PHEV remains available elsewhere, with Škoda noting 68,000+ Superb iV deliveries and roughly a quarter of new Superb sales as PHEVs.
