- King Charles received the Green Blue Peter badge at Dumfries House in Ayrshire on Wednesday, recognizing his environmental leadership through The King’s Foundation.

- During the event he met pupils in the foundation’s Growing Together, Cooking Together and Food for the Future programmes who shared ideas to reduce food waste.
- He placed a Blue Peter badge in the charity’s 35th anniversary time capsule, which will remain sealed for 100 years.
- The award follows his focus on food-waste redistribution through the Coronation Food Project, which since 2023 has moved surplus food to people in Merseyside, Birmingham and London.
