Overview
- Kia and Mexican officials announced on July 29 that the company will invest $649 million to retool its Pesquería plant and start EV3 assembly on August 4, 2026.
- Kia has opened EV3 pre-orders in Mexico with listings on Mercado Libre and a noted starting price for the SXL trim of about 767,700 pesos (roughly $44,000).
- The North American–spec EV3 is scheduled to reach the U.S. as a 2027 model late in 2026 and will be exported from the Pesquería facility to supply that launch.
