Kia India Adds Mid-Level EX Trims to Carens Clavis and Syros to Lower Entry Point for Sunroof, LED Tech

The new variants move sought-after comfort and lighting features into lower price bands in response to customer demand.

Overview

  • Kia launched the Carens Clavis HTE (EX) at Rs 12.55 lakh for petrol, Rs 13.42 lakh for turbo-petrol and Rs 14.53 lakh for diesel (ex-showroom), positioned above HTE (O).
  • The Carens HTE (EX) is 7-seater only, spans all three ICE engines with manual gearboxes at launch, and adds a first-time single-pane sunroof for the 1.5 NA petrol along with auto climate control, LED DRLs and LED cabin lamps.
  • The Syros HTK (EX) is priced at Rs 9.89 lakh for the 1.0 turbo-petrol and Rs 10.64 lakh for the 1.5 diesel (ex-showroom), offered only with manual transmissions at launch.
  • Syros HTK (EX) brings an all-LED exterior lighting package, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a single-pane sunroof and 16-inch alloys, making these features available at a lower trim level.
  • Kia cites customer feedback for the EX additions, confirms no mechanical changes, and expands the lineups to eight trims for Carens Clavis and seven for Syros.
