Overview
- Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated the Games at the Water Sports Academy on Upper Lake with 4K water projection, a laser show, fireworks and live performances.
- Competition is underway in phases across Madhya Pradesh: block level from January 13–16, district from January 16–20, division from January 21–25 and state finals from January 28–31.
- State-level winners will share roughly Rs 4 crore in awards, including Rs 31,000 for first place, Rs 21,000 for second and Rs 11,000 for third.
- The program is jointly run by the Sports Department and recognised sports federations, with events assigned to multiple cities including Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur, Rewa, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Sagar and Narmadapuram.
- A day after the launch, a Bhopal coach said the MP Kayaking and Canoeing Academy lacks a toilet and ramps for para athletes, with renovation plans stated to be approved.
