Khammam Police Arrest Three in Dismemberment Killing of Hyderabad Broker

Overview

• Police arrested Parimi Ashok, 36, Kommu Nagma, 32, and P Krishnaiah, 45, on Oct. 9 and remanded them to judicial custody.
• The victim was identified as 40-year-old real-estate broker Gatla Venkateshwarlu, whose brother reported him missing on Sept. 22.
• Investigators say Venkateshwarlu stayed at Ashok’s home on Sept. 15 and was killed in the early hours of Sept. 16, after which the body was dismembered and dumped in garbage in the Karunagiri area.
• Police attribute the motive to raising money for flight and visa expenses to Oman and for clearing debts, alleging Ashok stole gold and withdrew cash.
• Officers say the suspects searched YouTube for methods before the killing, and they later seized a motorcycle, two knives, gold chains and mobile phones, while also recovering body parts.
