- A DANSAF–Cheranalloor police team detained Arjun V Nath, 32, after a lodge search on Mattummel Road in Kochi yielded a small quantity of the drug.
- Interrogation led officers to a Vazhakkala apartment where they seized 716 grams of MDMA, with police estimating the haul to be worth several lakhs of rupees.
- In a separate action, a DANSAF team at Thampanoor bus depot in Thiruvananthapuram stopped a 52-year-old who had arrived from Nagercoil on a tip-off.
- An X-ray scan revealed MDMA hidden in small packets in the man’s rectum, and police said the seized contraband weighed 107.6 grams.
- Both suspects were booked under NDPS provisions as police pursue links, identify recipients, and prepare remand proceedings in the Kochi case.
