Overview
- The initiative establishes a central Citizen Connect Centre to collect feedback, resolve grievances and improve public communication with the state.
- It will provide easy access to information on welfare schemes and the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund, and serve as a reliable communication tool during emergencies.
- The Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board will deliver technical, infrastructure and manpower support for the programme.
- Staffing will draw on Kerala Administrative Service officers on working arrangement, with All India Service officers overseeing supervision, and the Chief Secretary authorised to issue detailed orders.
- An additional ₹20 crore goes to the Information and Public Relations Department for content, dissemination and feedback operations, and the centre will operate from the Air India building in Vellayambalam as media note the timing ahead of next year’s assembly polls.
