Overview
- Muhammad Savad, 31, a government school teacher who also served as a Booth Level Officer, was found in a river at Mogral Puthur in Kasaragod.
- He left home around 7 a.m. on a motorcycle, which was later found parked near a bridge over the river.
- His body was recovered near Kadavath around 9:30 a.m., and he was declared dead at Kasaragod Government General Hospital.
- Relatives allege suicide linked to election-duty stress and have refused to accept the body pending a detailed investigation.
- Police say a postmortem will precede release of the body, the probe into the unnatural death is ongoing, and the district collector is expected to meet the family.
