Keena Turner Named 49ers Hall of Fame 34th Inductee

The honor recognizes Turner’s role in the 1980s Super Bowl dynasty along with more than three decades of service in the team’s front office.

Overview

  • The San Francisco 49ers and the York family announced on Wednesday that Keena Turner will be the 34rd inductee into the Edward J. DeBartolo Sr. 49ers Hall of Fame.
  • The team scheduled Turner’s induction ceremony for its Week 6 Monday Night Football home game against the Washington Commanders.
  • Turner spent his entire 11-year NFL career with the 49ers, won four Super Bowls, earned a 1985 Pro Bowl nod, and recorded franchise milestones including at least 10 sacks and 10 interceptions.
  • After retiring as a player Turner has held multiple front-office roles for roughly 30 years and now serves as Vice President and Senior Advisor to GM John Lynch while entering his 41st season with the organization.
  • The Edward J. DeBartolo Sr. Hall of Fame was created in 2009 to honor major contributors to the franchise and the induction’s placement on Monday Night Football raises the public profile of the ceremony.
