- Kering and the Festival de Cannes announced Thursday that Julianne Moore will receive the Women in Motion award at a May 17 ceremony during the 79th festival, which runs May 12–23.

- The 2026 Emerging Talent Award goes to Italian filmmaker Margherita Spampinato with a €50,000 grant for her next feature, selected by last year’s recipient Marianna Brennand.
