Judge Revokes Injunction That Paused Roraima’s Supplementary Election Calendar

• Electoral judge Allan Kardec Mendonça Filho withdrew his own order that had frozen the start of party conventions for the Roraima governor rerun.
• The earlier injunction, issued at the request of Republicanos, had paused conventions and related steps for 10 days while challenging a rule that gives candidates 24 hours after conventions to leave posts that cause ineligibility.
• Prosecutors from the Regional Electoral Prosecutor’s Office and the national Electoral Prosecutor’s Office opposed the challenge and urged the court to keep the accelerated timetable intact.
• MDB asked to join the Republicanos case, and other parties, including Progressistas, União Brasil, PDT and Agir, are also trying to overturn the 24-hour deadline, with PL seeking to take part in the case as well.
• The 24-hour rule compresses what is usually a three‑to‑six‑month window to step away from public roles, so a final ruling will shape who can run in the June 21 vote for an interim term that ends on January 5, 2027.
