- A high‑speed chase that began in Ponte Lambro and ran about 2.5 kilometres to Peschiera Borromeo ended with the death of municipal officer Francesco Imprezzabile during the night of June 23, according to investigators.
- Prosecutors charged 26‑year‑old Genti Berisha with fuga pericolosa (dangerous flight) and omicidio stradale (vehicular homicide) and initially held him at San Vittore prison.
