Judge Lijo Demands Records on Contracts Tied to Adorni’s Wife in Illicit Enrichment Probe

The document sweep tests whether state work steered to her consultancy masked a kickback route for public funds.

Overview

  • Federal judge Ariel Lijo ordered Grupo Datco, National Shipping and Foggia to deliver all invoices and contract files involving +BE, the coaching firm owned by Bettina Angeletti, on Monday.
  • The three firms work with state bodies, including AFIP, AySA and Aerolíneas for Datco, YPF for National Shipping where Manuel Adorni is a director, and Tecnópolis events for Foggia.
  • Lijo also sought the companies’ ownership records from the corporate registry and asked the national procurement office to detail their state bids and awards.
  • The requests seek to learn if +BE won irregular work and if public money was routed back through private billing in a scheme described in the original court filing.
  • Prosecutors led by Gerardo Pollicita are separately auditing six properties, bank and dollar movements and cash payments, and a contractor said the Indio Cuá house remodel cost about $245,000 in cash.
