Overview
- Cameron McClellan, 27, Troy Hughes, 23, and Dante Williams, 23, were charged with multiple felony weapons and related offenses after a multi-agency pursuit from I-88 into Kane County.
- Prosecutors allege McClellan reached roughly 115 mph on I-88, used the shoulders, and an officer reported seeing two firearms thrown from the Jeep’s passenger side.
- Naperville police recovered a Glock 43X reported stolen out of Riverdale and a loaded Ruger .223 rifle during the subsequent search.
- McClellan was found in the Jeep on North Deerpath Lane, while Hughes was located in a basement and Williams in a work van on Blackberry Ridge Drive after the vehicle drove into a backyard near Shagbark Lane.
- DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin said two defendants are convicted felons on parole, and the case is set to return before Judge Daniel Guerin on April 6.
