JR Motorsports Adds Jake Finch for Five-Race No. 9 Program in 2026
The move gives the 20-year-old ARCA winner targeted laps in a top car.
Overview
- JR Motorsports, which announced the deal Wednesday, will field Finch in the No. 9 Chevrolet for five NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series starts beginning at Atlanta’s EchoPark Speedway on July 11.
- The slate continues at Darlington on September 5, Bristol on September 18, Charlotte on October 10, and Talladega on October 24.
- The No. 9 is a shared seat this season, and Finch joins a rotation that features Ross Chastain, Carson Kvapil, Shane van Gisbergen, and Lee Pulliam.
- His resume includes a 2024 ARCA win at Talladega, a 17th-place O’Reilly Series debut at Dover in 2025, and a 20th-place ARCA run at Daytona earlier this year.
- The part-time plan aligns with JR Motorsports’ development model that gives prospects select races to gain experience without a full-season load.
