- Brown County prosecutors filed misdemeanor counts of battery and criminal damage to property on Thursday, Aug. 27, formally accusing Jacobs of actions tied to a May 23 disturbance at his Hobart home.
- The criminal complaint says a woman told police Jacobs grabbed and threw her to the ground, she struck her head, he took her phone and later damaged it, and that garage surveillance video corroborates parts of her account.
- Prosecutors narrowed charges from Jacobs’ original May booking — which included a felony strangulation allegation and additional misdemeanors — by declining the strangulation count and charging only two misdemeanors.
