Josephs Return as West Indies Name 15-Man Test Squad for Sri Lanka Series

Selectors say the group is intended to test a recovered pace attack to help secure World Test Championship points at home.

The selectors named a 15-man squad that includes fast bowlers Alzarri Joseph and Shamar Joseph and recalls wicketkeeper-batter Joshua Da Silva in place of Tevin Imlach.
Both Josephs had missed recent overseas tours with injury but have been declared fit to rejoin the red-ball side.
The two Tests are scheduled at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua, starting June 25 and July 3, and will count toward the World Test Championship.
Shamar Joseph’s selection follows his player-of-the-series performances in the limited-overs leg against Sri Lanka and strengthens the seam options alongside Jayden Seales and Kemar Roach.
Coach Darren Sammy described the series as an opportunity to build team identity and selectors are using a high-performance camp and a four-day warm-up match to assess form and manage workloads.
