Jollyes Targets 160+ New UK Stores in Five-Year Expansion

The strategy uses low prices with in-store expertise to draw more pet owners to stores.

Overview

  • Jollyes outlined the plan Tuesday, listing more than 160 target towns and cities over five years, with up to 25 extra sites possible in 2026 if suitable units appear.
  • The chain now operates about 120 UK stores after opening branches this year in Blackpool, Ponders End, Hartlepool and Whitehaven.
  • Next openings are fixed: Lincoln on May 15, Kidderminster on May 29, Yeovil on June 19, with a Derby launch planned for early summer.
  • The property team is seeking 3,000 to 7,000 sq ft units on retail parks or prominent roadside sites, with Edgerley Simpson Howe leading searches in England and Wales and Savills in Scotland.
  • Priority areas include major conurbations such as Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Bristol, Edinburgh and Glasgow plus many smaller towns, building on rapid growth and recent workplace and retail awards.
