John Lewis Partners With Benugo to Rebrand 32 In-Store Restaurants Starting This Summer

The phased programme introduces a new hospitality brand focused on locally sourced menus, with completion targeted for 2027.

Overview

  • The agreement covers 32 restaurants across John Lewis stores, including all existing Place to Eat locations.
  • The first wave will reopen from summer 2026 at Oxford Street’s fifth floor, Bluewater, Chichester, Norwich, Nottingham and Reading.
  • Refurbishment at the initial sites is scheduled to begin between May and June 2026, with the full rollout due by 2027.
  • A new name and visual identity will be unveiled as the first venues open, replacing current in‑store branding.
  • Menus will feature bakery, deli and handmade pizza options using locally sourced produce, with Benugo expanding a decade‑long relationship built through about 10 existing cafés after a two‑year competitive process.
